The concept of custom steam room has been gaining a lot of popularity in the last couple of years. It all started when steam shower and steam room started becoming more common even in an average home especially in those who stay in colder climates.

A steam room is a closed shower room which has a steam generator linked to it. It works both as shower and home steam room. Most of the people prefer buying the all-encompassing modular steam showers that can include a whirlpool bath tub fixed at the bottom along with built in showers having steam generator.

Some of them also have extra added features like telephones and radios. But today the scenario is completely different. Now most of the home buyers prefer getting custom steam shower for their baths.

Some people prefer to have just the standard and traditional shower fixtures in their custom steam room while others want luxury shower fixtures with fancy looks and multiple functions. You can have get shower panels with body jets or else a fully integrated system having electronic controls.

The most important thing when designing a perfect custom steam room is to make a budget and stick to it as such systems can be quite alluring and expensive at the same time. It is advisable to plan out everything with your contractor beforehand only. This would eliminate the chances of any surprise increase in total cost. Having a custom steam room will not only be a huge improvement to your health but will also make your house much more valuable.

    I saw my steam shower as a way to relax and get comfortable. It is also a way to sweat out toxins. I don’t think of these as a cold or warm climate choice. It was a healthy choice.
